I am inherently curious about individual and collective
stories, and how we can understand ourselves, others,
and our narratives with greater depth for sustainable
positive change.

Coaching for me is a way of being. I shine a light on how we interact and relate to fellow people and the world. Change comes through empowering others.

With 25 years in Education, and as a Headteacher, I observed, experienced and championed the need for Human Sustainability. In pursuit of developing this concept, and eager to make a meaningful impact for how people and businesses think and foster change, I studied with Henley Business School, a triple accredited institution (EMCC, ICF and AC). I was awarded a Distinction for a Postgraduate in Coaching for Behavioural Change and a Distinction for a Postgraduate in Executive Coaching.

I honour professional integrity and ensure I am internationally accredited - PCC Level 2 with ICF, and as a Senior Practitioner with EMCC Global. Additionally, as an Associate Board Member of ICF UK, I am responsible for Partnerships. Proactive in membership of ICF and EMCC Global, and dedicated to continued learning and development. I receive Supervision and Mentoring and I am committed to ethical and progressive practice.

As a deep listener, with dynamic style, sense of play, and genuine care for people, my Coaching will engender you to think, for committed change to follow.

As a Consultant, I specialise in developing and embedding Coaching Cultures

I am interested in working with groups, teams, and organisations to positively affect:

  • Organisational Climate: how it feels to work here

  • Organisational Culture: how we do what we do here

Business performance improves by up to 30% when employees experience a great climate where people are aligned and motivated, and up to 70% of variance in climate can be explained by leadership behaviour.

Recent Research by Hay Group

High performing leaders nurture and define this climate and organisational culture. It is about creating the conditions in which people can flourish.

My published Writing provokes thought to ignite and give momentum for important conversations. My intention is to raise impact for Human Sustainability where personal and professional needs meet. Indeed, for the being-ness of people and organisations to flourish.

For me, and the career I have shaped, people matter. I empower individual and group agency, resonant in an inclusive global landscape for humanity and businesses to prosper in meaningful ways without compromising the future needs of others.

Think Being®

In 2020, Think Being® was conceptualised. I felt compelled to form a business to facilitate human beings and organisations to thrive. Its core philosophy is:

Cultivating the Being in Humankind

Human beings are precious, and deserving of being cared for. It should not take disruptive situations or global pandemics to realise this. If we preserve the viability of people then in times of chaos, home and work life will be more sustainable.

Sustainability leads to thriving, and for humans this is about connection. When connected to purpose, values, who we are and in our relationships with humankind and with nature, we meet our needs without compromising the ability of others to meet theirs. This is a mooring from which to flourish.

When people experience a positive work climate and culture, organisations are more likely to thrive. Knowing our purpose and deriving meaning from it is at the heart of ‘being’ rather than evaluating ourselves and others through a lens of ‘doing’. To limit human appraisal to ‘doing’ is unfair and belies the source from which business performance flows.

Outdated styles of leadership are inefficient. Think Being® facilitates the development of a

Coaching Culture:

“One where Coaching is the predominant style of working together and where a commitment to grow the organisation is embedded in a parallel commitment to grow the people in the organisation.”

"Kirsty's writing, particularly her recent book Breaking Barriers, has been gaining attention for its profound exploration of how a Coaching mindset can transform and improve organisational climate and culture. This book serves as a guiding light for those who strive to create environments where people can not only work but also thrive.

I want to share that in this era, where leadership advice is abundant, Kirsty shines brightly for her thought leadership and true dedication to people. Her insights are not just theoretical but also drawn from her personal experiences. I highly recommend and endorse her for individuals seeking Coaching in transformative leadership."

"As a Consultant, Kirsty quickly built a rapport and creates a conducive environment that values individualism and appreciates diversity of thought for effective collaboration.

She is human-centred in her approach to working with adults and children, and enables every participant to feel heard and that their contribution matters. Her Coaching Leadership engages, challenges, empowers and fosters agency in young people, motivating high sustainable impact relevant in local, national and global contexts.

I strongly endorse Kirsty's work and the business she founded: Think Being®."

“Kirsty is a brilliant listener. At moments I felt stuck, she was able to nudge me forward and help me to focus on what might work for me. I felt very much that Kirsty was in it with me and had my back, which makes her a great Coaching partner. Time with Kirsty is definitely time well spent!"
